Here’s what has been happening ...

Last week’s heavy rain marked the official end of hurricane season (Nov 30). Meaning no more stormy weather until it starts up again next May. Luckily there was no damage here at Los Milagros Hotel. Fingers crossed for blue sky and sunshine as we move further into high season towards Christmas.

Thankfully the sun came out just in time for Mexico’s most important food festival, Sabor a Cabo. A week-long culinary celebration of local ingredients, chefs, restaurants, wine houses and tequilas. Coupled with Cabo’s spectacular setting and vibrant night life the festival is getting bigger every year.

There is always a celeb or two in town and last week was no exception. First there was an impromptu performance by Lady Gaga in a downtown bar. Next up was Dwayne “the rock” Johnson and Jack Black, who were spotted at a local movie theatre as part of the Jumanji film promotion. Ex-underwear model Heidi Klum was snapped with new hubby all loved up under her umbrella despite the rain and floods.  And Danny de Vito and Dwayne Johnson, made a huge social media splash by crashing a Cabo wedding and serenading the bride…

Talking of weddings, (for which Cabo is immensely popular) one crazy Hindu groom decided to parachute into his (celebrity) wedding on the beach at the Hard Rock Café Hotel. A first, even for Cabo weddings…

American actor Kevin Hart was also in town with the Jumanji film crew. As was Mexican TV presenter and youtuber Roger Gonzalez. And let’s not forget the famous futbolista – former Mexican pro, Rafael Marquez, spotted at Nobu Hotel on a family break. Apparently his second trip to Cabo this year…
