Cabo catch up – beaches, bars, fishing, famous faces and sport.

update

It’s August. Mid-summer for most, but not quite yet high season for Cabo.

Stuff is going on, but it’s not too crazy yet. Beaches are busy, but not packed. Downtown restaurants are still kinda quiet. But clubs and bars all fill up as the night wears on. (Coco Bongo, Bar Nowhere, and Squid Row are popular with our clients right now)

Billfish are biting as marlin season approaches. Our friends at Pisces say good sized marlin (200-250lb) and yellow fin are pushing through most days now.

Although it's hurricane season (mid-May - end Nov) no storms so far. Weather is pretty hot and pretty humid. (And Metmex have actually issued a rain warning for later today!)

Last week’s Abierto de Tenis was a big deal.  Only in its 4th year, it’s being pushed as a major sporting event for Cabo. This year’s singles title went to Argentinian Diego Schwartzman, who beat America’s Taylor Fritz 7-6, 6-3.

Other big news was the blue flag certification of 19 beaches in Los Cabos. Blue flags are the best eco badge a beach can hope for. And indicate high levels of cleanliness, water quality,,environmental management and safety. All the reasons that people flock to the shores of Los Cabos. Including celebrities. And there  have been tons of them the last few weeks.  - Simon Cowell, Behati Prinsloo, Gareth Bale, Olivia Culpo....,

So, get down here now. It’s not too busy. It’s not too hot. It’s not yet rainy. And it’s not yet crazy. But it’s still fun, with lots of sun.

And with the best location in downtown Cabo. - 2 blocks from the Marina, 1 block from Cabo Wabo and 15 mins from Medano beach - and the best pices - $70-$120 including taxes -  Book your room now
